Winter in Spiez

In winter, things are a little quieter here in Spiez on Lake Thun, ideal for relaxing, switching off and enjoying yourself. The circular hiking trails in and around Spiez can also be explored in winter.

A special highlight awaits you when hiking along the Strandweg from Spiez to Faulensee. The lake lies still and reflects the white winter landscape.

Explore the dreamlike winter landscape of the Bernese Oberland on a leisurely winter walk on snowshoes.

In our region you will find a large selection of beautiful snowshoe tours in various winter areas.

From our hotel you can reach the fairytale winter landscape of Aeschiried in just under 15 minutes and enjoy a fantastic view of Lake Thun.

Fondue in the igloo

The igloo village of Stockhorn is located directly on the frozen Hinterstockensee lake in the midst of white-sugared mountains at 1,600 m above sea level. Ideal for walking, skating or snowshoeing. A delicious fondue is not to be missed at the end - bon apetit!

Cross-country skiing

In just 15 minutes you can reach the cross-country ski trails in Aeschiried. Beginners, advanced skiers and specialists can enjoy around 30 km of classic trails and 30 km of skating trails from Aeschi via Aeschried to Suldtal, as well as 4 km of night trails in Aeschiried. The night trail is automatically lit from Monday to Friday from 6.00 - 9.00 pm.

You can rent equipment directly at the car park, with your guest card you get a 20% reduction. Children up to the age of 15 can use the trails free of charge.
