When can I check in at the hotel?

Room check-in is guaranteed from 15:00. Earlier check-in is possible depending on room availability.

By when do I have to release the hotel room?

We kindly ask you to vacate your room by 11:00 am on the day of departure at the latest. Later departures can be guaranteed subject to availability and are subject to an additional charge. Direct bookers benefit from a late check-out until 11:30. To the direct booking benefits.

Can I leave my luggage at the hotel before check-in or after check-out?

You can leave your luggage at the hotel before checking into your room on arrival or after check-out on the day of departure.


Are parking spaces available at the hotel?

Outdoor parking spaces and a parking garage are available to our guests free of charge. The parking spaces do not need to be reserved in advance. We will be happy to park your vehicle on request.

Are the parking spaces subject to charges?

As a hotel or seminar guest, you can park for free during your stay.

Is there a charging station available for electric cars?

Sockets for charging electric cars are available in the parking hall, please bring the appropriate adapter.


Do all hotel rooms have a view of Lake Thun?

Most of our hotel rooms have a beautiful view of Lake Thun. All other rooms are facing the Alps. You will find details on the respective rooms in the room description. To the room overview

Can an extra bed be placed in the room?

We are happy to provide you with an extra bed for an additional charge, provided there is enough space in the room. The description of the different room categories shows whether an extra bed is possible in the respective category.


From when to when is breakfast served?

We serve breakfast from 07:00 - 10:30 in the restaurant or on the terrace in fine weather.

Is breakfast included in the room rate?

Breakfast is charged in addition to the room rate, unless you have already booked it at the time of booking.


From when to when is the wellness centre open?

The infinity pool, whirlpool, Kneipp walk and fitness are open from 08:00 - 22:00. The saunas, hamam and steam bath are open from 09:00 - 22:00.

Are bathrobe and slippers available in the hotel?

Bathrobe and slippers are provided free of charge during your stay, they can be found in the closet of your room.

Should I book spa treatments before I arrive?

You should book treatments before your stay via email or telephone, otherwise we may no longer have your desired appointment available. Of course, you can also book a spa treatment on site at the reception.

Can I use the wellness facility before check-in or after check-out?

The wellness facility can be used by our hotel guests before check-in from 13:30 and after check-out until 13:00. Register at the hotel reception.

Is the wellness facility accessible to external guests?

Our wellness facility is reserved exclusively for our hotel guests.


Is the Belvédère Strandhotel located directly on Lake Thun?

The Belvédère Strandhotel is situated in a slightly elevated position with a beautiful view of Lake Thun. Lake Thun is a 5-minute walk from the hotel.

How far is it from the hotel to the lido?

The hotel's own lido is located below the hotel complex and can be reached on foot in 5 minutes (steps).

Do other people have access to the lido?

The lido is only accessible to hotel guests.


From when to when is lunch served?

Lunch is served from 12:00 - 14:00 (13:30 last order) in the Captain's Bar. Afterwards, you can choose small snacks from the bar menu or cakes from the display case.

When can I start eating dinner?

You can enjoy your dinner in the restaurant or on the terrace from 18:15 - 22:00 (last order 21:00).

Is it possible to book half board?

Yes, for CHF 65.00 per person/night you can book half board at the Belvédère Strandhotel. Please note that we accept reservations until 18.00 the day before.

Can I eat in the restaurant as an external guest?

Our restaurant is open for external guests during the official opening hours. You can make reservations via e-mail or telephone. To the opening hours and contact details

Is a table reservation necessary?

We recommend that you reserve a table in advance. You can reserve a table in the restaurant or on the terrace before your arrival or during your stay at the reception or in the restaurant.


From when to when is the Captain's Bar open?

The Captain's Bar is open from 10:30 - 00:30 (last food order 22:15). A lunch special is served from 12:00 - 13:30.

Is the Captain's Bar accessible to external guests?

Can I arrive with my pet?

We are happy to welcome dogs. Please inform us in advance that you are arriving with a dog. Other pets are only allowed by prior arrangement.

Is my dog allowed in the restaurant?

Well-behaved dogs are allowed in the restaurant or on the terrace. At the breakfast buffet, we ask you to leave your loved one at the table.

Can my dog stay alone in the hotel room?

Yes, so that your dog is not disturbed and for the safety of the housekeeping staff, we ask you to hang the red sign on the room door when your dog is awake alone in the room. Once the sign is on the door, no one enters the room. Just let us know at reception when you are going for a "walk" with your four-legged friend. In the meantime, we will clean the room.

Are there additional costs for pets?

For your dog we charge CHF 25.00 per pet/night (without food).
